How Do I Shorten URLs in My Posts?
To shorten the URLs, you need a URL shortener tool. Social Blaze supports two such tools, including:
- Bitly
- Rebrandly
Let’s learn how to shorten URLs in your posts using these tools.
How to use Bitly/Rebrandly with Social Blaze?
We have generalized the steps for all the three URL shortener tools. Follow the steps:
- Sign in into Social Blaze.
- Select Settings > URL Shortening.
- A “URL Shortening” pop-up will appear”.
- Click on your desired URL shortener – Bitly/Rebrandly/Sniply.
- Click on the “Connect” button.
- This will redirect you to the login screen of the URL Shortener you select. (In this case, we have selected Bitly).
- Log in with your credentials. If you don’t have an account on the URL Shortener tool, create your account.
- Once you’ve signed in to the URL Shortener tool, you will be redirected back to the Social Blaze dashboard.
Note: If you decide to go for Bitly, you will have to authorize Social Blaze to use your Bitly account.
- The domains, you created at Bitly or Rebrandly will be displayed in the drop-down box. Select the domain you want to be used while shortening links.
Now, you can use these URL shorteners when creating your posts.
- Select the accounts for which you want to use Bitly/Rebrandly along with your customized domain names and click on the ‘Save’ button.
With this, whenever you post a link in the “Create Post” section, and choose those accounts, Bitly/Rebrandly will automatically shorten your URLs using custom domains.
