What social listening does

Listening watches the public web for conversations about your business — posts, comments, reviews and mentions — across 11 networks, then estimates how each conversation feels: positive, neutral or negative. You see one unified feed, a sentiment dial per network, and live coverage details, all from the Listening page in your workspace.

How it works

  1. 1

    Your verified watchlist

Listening follows your business identity — your verified website, brand name and brand hashtags. It never searches arbitrary keywords, so results stay about your business.

  2. 2

    Automatic checks

Public sources and connected accounts are checked automatically on a rolling schedule. The banner at the top of the page shows when the next check is available; no manual refresh is needed.

  3. 3

    Sentiment scoring

Each eligible conversation is scored as positive, neutral or negative. Scores power the per-network dials and the overall “How the conversation feels” summary.

  4. 4

    Your own activity is excluded

Posts and replies from your connected accounts are labeled as testing activity and never count toward sentiment, so your own words can’t inflate your scores.

What each network listens to

LinkedIn and Google Business Profile. These platforms do not offer public keyword search to any tool. SocialBlaze listens to comments, tags and mentions on your own LinkedIn Page and to reviews on your own Google Business listing — so those two networks must have the account connected for listening to work.

Most networks are covered by public discovery — no account connection is needed; your verified watchlist is enough. Two networks only expose activity on your own presence, so their listening requires the account to be connected in Manage Account.

What you can change

  1. 1

    Selected networks

Choose which of the 11 networks appear on your Listening page. Your plan sets how many you can select at once.

  2. 2

    Views and filters

Switch between Overview, Unified feed, Sentiment and Live streams. Filter conversations by network, sentiment, keyword, kind or date, and switch the feed density between Comfortable, Compact and Tight.

  3. 3

    Arrange cards

Reorder the network scorecards with Arrange cards (or keyboard arrows) so your most important networks come first.

  4. 4

    Saved conversations

Bookmark any conversation to find it again under the Saved tab.

  5. 5

    Show my activity for testing

Turn this on to see your own posts and replies in the feed, labeled as testing. They stay excluded from sentiment and cannot be saved.

  6. 6

    Change website

Your watchlist follows your verified business website. Changing the website re-verifies your brand identity before collection continues.

Why a dial can read “Not scored yet”

A network’s dial moves only when a conversation by someone outside your workspace is collected and scored. If a network shows “0 classified”, its sources are still being checked — open Network coverage at the bottom of the page to see each source’s last successful check. Your own posts, and anything labeled as testing, never move the dial.
